Some of the previously announced VAT changes of Barbados, came into effect on 1 September 2015.
In particular, all betting and gaming services and supplies are now subject to the standard VAT rate of 17.5% (previously there services and supplies were exempt).
In addition, a new reduced VAT-free basket of basic food items has been introduced.
The increase of the VAT registration threshold requirement to B$200,000 (from B$80,000) will take effect on 1 September 2016.Back to News
